What distinguishes my generation? Are there idiosyncrasies or things that are characteristic of me and my peers – at least in my country or region? Which collective descriptions do I identify with, and which labels and stereotypes do I reject? The Goethe-Institut asked filmmakers, influencers and other creatives from different parts of the world to each fill a box with objects that have something to do with their own generation. They were not given any guidelines. The participants were then asked to unpack everything in front of the camera, and share their highly personal view of their own generation. They include Egyptian filmmaker Andeel, Colombian political journalist Juan Carlos Rincón Escalante, Taiwanese YouTuber Jia-Hui Li (Peggy Lee), Lithuanian geek vlogger Agnė Juškėnaitė, and British toy collector and children’s birthday party veteran Tim Rowett.
