The Female TITAN! Attack on Titan Episode 16 and 17 Reaction. In today's Attack on Titan reaction, we are introduced to a new TITAN! In episode 16, we start off with Jean remembering Marco as they burn the bodies. This whole situation sort of changes Jean's mindset as he decides to join the Survey Corps! This spreads throughout the group as everyone, except for Annie decides to join. Commander Erwin Smith gives an immovable speech to the new recruits to decipher who will sacrifice their lived for humanity. He informs them that 30 percent will die in their next expedition. This makes majority of the recruits leave and very few stay. The episode ends off with the Survey Corps heading out on the long awaited expedition beyond the walls! In episode 17, things start to pick up. The Survey Corps break off into their formation, but many encounter titans. Things get worse as some titans breach the formation. Soon enough the titan threats are eliminated but not for long as the female titan appears! This new titan appears to be aberrant as it is not like the others. It chases down and attacks Armin, but instead of killing him, it removes his hood to look at his face!
