Spring is the time to get those sprinklers turned on. The process of starting your irrigation system is simple and can be a DIY task. Here are the 4 steps we use to turn our Rainbird irrigation system on in Spring. (the process is similar for Hunter or other irrigation systems )
Step 1 - Close the back pressure valve weep holes.
Step 2 - Open the water line to fill the main trunk line of the in ground irrigation system. This charges the sprinkler system. Step 3 - At the control panel, manually turn on each zone of sprinkler heads, one zone at a time.
Step 4 - Adjust the sprinkler heads as needed.
